The only school that is close to Gundogan and offers lessons in English is the Marmara College. It is a private school but does not count as an international school as the majority of lessons are in Turkish and Turkish is also taught as the mother tongue. Anyhow, there are native English speaking teachers employed here who are more than happy to help with any possible language problems.
Generally it can be said that children pick up a foreign language much faster and easier if they are going to a local school. As the Marmara College is located in Bodrum and there are school buses available that take children to the school and back home, it is definitely the best alternative.
The school is providing a Primary School and a High School and those who have younger children can also take advantage of the kindergarten. Additional to the standard lessons that are offered in Primary School, there will also be English aided lessons in mathematics and science.
Another reason why parents should consider the Marmara College as an option is the wide range of state of the art facilities and services that are provided. Tournaments, competitions, a cafeteria in which meals are served, psychological guidance, laboratories and much more make this school to one of the best ones in the region.
Students who are visiting the Primary School and the High School will have to wear a uniform which consists of blue trousers or a skirt, a white shirt, a blue jacket, a white, claret red sweatshirt, a white T-Shirt and dark shoes
