There are no international schools located on the Bodrum Peninsula, but there is the private Marmara Collage which is located in the nearby resort of Bodrum. The general language in which most lessons are taught is Turkish but the fact that the school offers classes in English and also employs native English teachers might be a reason for you to consider the Marmara Collage an option.
Other reasons could be the latest state of the art facilities and the professional teaching staff that takes care of the students. The Marmara College caters for children from the ages of 3 to 14 (kindergarten and primary school) and also provides a high school.
Children who are visiting the kindergarten will be joining classes with no more than 15 pupils and get taught in arts, drama, music, folklore, ballet and others. Psychological counselling and guidance is provided and meals are also prepared in the school kitchen.
The Primary School which goes from the 1st to the 8th grade is compulsory in Turkey. At the Marmara College students will be able to take advantage of modern facilities such as English Language and science laboratories. Again, there is a cafeteria in which breakfast, lunch and tea is offered plus there will also be competitions, school trips and many other events throughout the period.
Professional English and Turkish speaking education continues in the high school. Another fact worth mentioning are the school uniforms that have to be worn by each student, except the ones in kindergarten.
